Under its CBR program, CF-AI is implementing three major program components i.e. Disability Prevention, Rehabilitation and Inclusion of persons with disabilities.
• Awareness education on major causes of disability and its prevention methods
• Primary health care education
• Hygiene and sanitation
• Reducing the existing physical, social and cultural/attitudinal barriers
• Creating access to economic empowerment opportunities
• Conduct home to home disability and socio-economic assessment
• Develop Joint intervention plan and sharing responsibilities with all parties
• Provide counseling.
• Most of PwDs in the in the project areas have been able to get orthopedic appliances which tremendously improved their mobility and functionality
• CF-IA is better promoting CBR in partnership with different local development actors who shared its strategy that discourages handout provisions and on the contrary encourage the target PwDs,
CF-AI accounting division is using modern accounting system with the latest Peachtree recording.

Bahirdar Project Office, working in Amhara Region, Bahir Dar City Administration and surrounding areas started its operation in October 2000 and the major component activities
Dessie project was established in August, 2004 as a satellite site under Bahir Dar project Office.
Later on, following the expansion of its activities it has been lifted to the 4th CF-AI’s project Office.
Agaro CBR is one of the CF-AI’s CBR projects. It started in 2010 with CBM Australia support.

Cheshire Foundation Ethiopia recently renamed as Cheshire Foundation–Action for Inclusion (CF-AI) is an indigenous charity organization established in 1985. The organization is reregistered for the second time under the recent Ethiopian Charities & Societies Proclamation 621/2009 with the registration No. 0298.
Under this CBR program CF-AI has been providing different disability rehabilitation and inclusion services which includes medical rehabilitation and reducing the impact environmental, cultural and attitudinal barriers in excluding the impaired persons from accessing various development services and opportunities within their communities.
Conducting base line survey/house to house disability and socio-economic assessment along with scanning local service providing institutions is always an entry point for all CF-AI’s CBR intervention.
Structurally, CF-AI has its own General Assembly, the supreme power, the Management Board (elected by the general assembly) responsible to provide strategic directions for the organization and secretariat office led by an executive director coordinating the day to day activity of the organization.
